Save The Parade’s Fall 2025 campaign, Spells, unveils four captivating print narratives that dive into the rich spiritual tapestry  of the 1960’s and ’70s counterculture. Exploring Eastern Mysticism, Voodoo or (Vodou), magical practices, and astrology, this  collection shines a light on the diverse “occult” interests that fascinated the hippie movement and have been labeled “occult” in the  context of Western views. English occultist, Aleister Crowley, taught “Magick” is the science and art of causing change to occur in  conformity with the will. It's about aligning oneself with natural forces to manifest an intention, rather than cultivating supernatural  powers. Crowley's philosophy resonated with a generation seeking liberation from traditional norms and exploring personal freedom.

Save The Parade’s “Spells” considers the 1960s counterculture’s genuine expression of individuality and creativity juxtaposed with kitsch; and cultural exploration. It nods to the innocence and naiveté of the movement, and reflects  on the idea that...
